Jakub Pawliczak, PhD

Jakub holds the position of an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw. He graduated in law from the University of Warsaw (master diploma summa cum laude), Cardiff University Law School (diploma in English Legal Studies with distinction) and the Center for American Law Studies established by University of Florida College of Law and the University of Warsaw (the best graduate of the year).
He is the author of a book in the field of family law published by Wolters Kluwer, co-author of leading commentaries to the Family and Guardianship Code (including provisions on divorce, pre-nuptial agreements, alimony and palimony) and the Code of Civil Procedure. He has published numerous articles in influential Polish and international legal journals (incl. Journal of Private International Law, Journal of Social Welfare and Family Law). Jakub won the Second Prize in ‘the State and the Law’ National Competition (2014) for the Best Doctoral Dissertations. He lectures students at the University of Warsaw and trainee attorneys at the Warsaw Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law. Jakub is also a member of the International Society of Family Law.
Jakub works as an independent attorney-at-law representing clients in all types of family and inheritance cases, as well as in selected civil and commercial cases. He provides expert legal advice, including international and human rights issues, prepares legal opinions and bills of law. His previous legal experience includes working both in the private (Allen & Overy Law Firm) and the public sector (senior judicial clerk at the Polish Constitutional Tribunal, assistant to the Polish Ombudsman). He is often asked to comment on wide variety of legal matters by Polish television stations and the international media.
In cases concerning LGBT persons and in precedential cases, Jakub cooperates with "Knut Mazurczak Adwokaci" - the law firm specializing in the protection of the rights of LGBT people.

Małgorzata holds the position of an assistant professor at College of Public Administration in Ostrołęka. As the best graduate of the year, she graduated with distinction in law from the University of Warsaw (master diploma summa cum laude).
She is the author of books in the field of family and commercial law as well as co-author of the commentary to the Code of Civil Procedure. She has published numerous articles in influential Polish legal journals. She has worked in leading Polish law offices, gaining extensive experience in family cases and corporate services. She has conducted numerous trainings for business and institutional clients. From 2011 to 2017 she lecturerd commercial law at the University of Warsaw.
She deals with family cases, provides ongoing legal services for companies and associations, conducts trainings and prepares legal opinions.
